Monarch tennis goes on the road and gets the win over Kingsburg 7-2. Big win in a marathon match at 1 singles where Jesus Alvarado knocked off their top player, giving KHS #1 his first league loss!! Other singles wins by Justin Howell, R Hernandez and N Cobarruvias. Doubles comes away with another sweep with Alvarado/Alvarado-Chavez, Justin H/Williams, and the Hernandez Brothers! That moves the team to 11-4 (5-0 in league)
Congratulations to Coach Kirkman and Monarch Baseball Staff for this incredible milestone. The boys lost both games vs. stacked Selma this week, losing at Selma, 1-12, and last night at home, 7-12.

Boys tennis embracing next man up today overcoming some injuries to beat Hanford West 8-1 and finish the first half of league in first place. That moves the team to 10 wins 4 losses overall , and 4-0 in league. Singles wins by Agustin Alvarado-Chavez, Jacob Howell, Justin Howell, Ricky Hernandez, and Nate Cobarruvias. Doubles sweep 🧹 by Alvarado/Alvarado Chavez, Howell Brothers, and J Williams/J Hernandez
Last Week, Tanner Garnett pitched the complete championship game, earning a remarkable 18 STRIKEOUTS to lift the Monarchs over the Tigers, 3-1. Earlier in the week, Exeter defeated Mira Monte, Caruthers, and Mendota to win Woodlake’s Ron Robinson Classic Baseball Tournament. Also in that championship game, McElmoyl knocked one out of the park to get the Monarchs out front, 1-0. Garnett was awarded tournament MVP, Velasquez earned All-Tournament Team honors.
Garnett pitches a complete game allowing only two hits and getting nine strikeouts as Monarchs get the league win by blanking the Pirates, 14-0. Garnett also hit a triple, and scored 3 RBIs. JV baseball lost to Reedley this evening.
Varsity Softball defeated Farmersville this afternoon, 8-3. Sparrow went 3-4 with 2 RBIs and her 5th triple of the season! Whitworth also went 3-4 with 2 RBIs, and Mendez was 2-4 with 2 RBIs. JV were also victorious with a score of 17-5, Brewer goes 3 for 3 at the plate, scoring3.
